Coming From A Poet Near You

Feel the heat

Transpired from your heart

Intricate beats from delicate wings

Fluttering around my mind

Planting seeds that grow into words

Sprouting strength the world has never heard

Strength to endure the coming winter

Strength to endure the passage of time

We’re not growing younger

But the world seems to spin ever slower

Trying to hold my breath

And catch up with the circus

The revolving door has no entrance

Only an exit

The grave can be an ending

Or glorious beginning

The word strips me of spirt and soul

Body and breath

All for the sake of its collection

Of zombies and ogres

So with the last pages of heartspeak

I hope to give you warmth and light

Before we run out of time
