A long walk into the darkness
Cold, subservient darkness
It’s funny how when I was younger
I would run from it because I don’t understand it; I couldn’t see through the pain thick with blood
Now I don’t know anything else
Age has left me with little time to wonder
Running through the woods. hands scraping against the ivy, footfalls littered with the remains of those who tried and didn’t make it
I don’t care what’s below me, only who’s in front of me
The vision is brighter as the day
Growing darker, as people whither away
the road becomes wider
I’ve bidden my time
Said goodbye
To the one track minds of the inconsolable

I'm interested in hearing what you have to say
