Fractured

Flawed

Fractured, tarnished

Heart bleeds the poison darts

That pierce but never penetrate

They wish to have your soul but instead

Will have to be satisfied with your skin

It looks delicious to them, they finger

Themselves at the thought of having you

Only to wake up and see that they too

Are dreaming

Just as you upon wondering if love

Will ever find you

I found you, but I’m not sure I love you

Or love the idea of being with you

One night, one time, for all the ages

To prove to ourselves that we could make it

Rising above our demons just enough

How much of our pasts can be undone

I'm interested in hearing what you have to say
