Too Much Of You

Pretending to be alright

Never let anyone inside my life

Sometimes I wish I were made of metal

No one could deceive me, no one could feel

What it likes to be me, breathe me

Exhale all of us: The Sin, The Pain, The Hoping

That one day they’d love me for who I am

And not who they hoped I’d become

It’s quite too late to excavate the cavity

And in the place of pressure placing glory

I’ve lost my way, I’m ashamed to say

Hoping to be friends, I’ve lost my fire

I used to look down upon trying new things

Now I’ve tried too much

And I’ve left little to the imagination

I’m sorry, but I just wanted to be with you

(Now I’ve seen too much of you)

I'm interested in hearing what you have to say
