Leaving Me

They just

Keep on

Maybe I’m just not attractive enough

Hard enough

Enough of this chatter

Before they think I’m in the closet

But I am, though

It’s raining, men

Writing words that put me asleep

So that when I awake I remember

Everything I have to do

I call it being at one my self

Pull it out in the aisle, hand it behind a curtain

I’ve seen too many and none ever pleased

Because they never thought of me

Am I simply a place to release?

Or a secret cove of wonder

Just begging to be explored

Government may shut me out

But love

It opens the floodgates of heaven

I'm interested in hearing what you have to say
