Breath And Bone

I am not a man, but a monster

Feeling only so sick from travel

Knowing I’ve ventured further

Time is a bother, Love a primal mirage

Between two galaxies, essential

Between a man and woman? Useless

I’ve watched “true lovers” sell each other

For a hint of silver and an ounce of crack

Families trade eternal bonds for bread

Between the trees, there is passion

In humanity, hatred

Who cares about anyone anymore?

Or even knows that they should

I am ashamed to be man

I know I am more than breath and bone

But can I convince my brother he is too?

I feel a shift in consciousness coming

It will send many alight

Yet many more will find

They never saw the change coming
