Stranded

Stranded on the beach, everyone left her

Standing naked, friends desert

When the doors get locked, hearts are rocked

You find out how little they love you

And it kills you, doesn’t it?

It trickles down your thighs into your toes

And you wade in the sorrow that bleeds

Daily, not just every month

Filthy stench rises higher to heaven

Your cries swallow each and every smile

Doesn’t it taste so bitter, the sinister

The cruel beatings and bruisings of life

It would be easier to let the train run me down

Than tell the train I can see something better

I'm interested in hearing what you have to say
